Here's a story of a girl,
Living in the lonely world,
A hidden note, A secret crush,
A little boy who talks too much.

Well, I'm standing in the crowd,
And when you smile I check you out,
But you don't even know my name,
You're too busy playing games,

And I want you too know,
If you lose your way,
I won't let you go.

If I cut my hair,
If I change my clothes,
Will you notice me?

If I bite my lip,
If I say hello,
Will you notice me?

its the eve of the eve of Christmas :P but the flyer just had to break down...just because of a small fire...(a fire can do anything, so kids, do not play with fire)

lol..just kidding..back to serious reports...

4.50pm is the exact time when the Singapore flyer stopped turning, trapping 173 people in its 28 (or more??) capsules. the cause: power to one of the wheel's drive units was cut off after an electrical fire which then cut off all the power.

Dive Marine and the SCDF were called in and they managed to rescue some 10 people out of the capsules by using rope harnesses, with two of them taken to the hospital.the flyer only started moving again at around 11.10pm.

i think it is a good thing that they rescued people of while the flyer was not moving, but i think the way the did it was quite unsafe. although the used two ropes, they may not truly know if the person who is supposed to be lowered down, is afraid. one lady was crying while she was being lowered down. this shows that although the person may say that he or she is not afraid, it may be otherwise..
also, why would such an accident happen in Singapore and Singapore only?? the other countries do not have such or so many problems with their own flyers. why make our country an exception? the authorities may want to have a look at the other designs of flyers and try to make ours safer. if such accidents were to happen again, how would the flyer still be able to attract foreigners like how they anticipated??

today, my dad had a big day..because he had to help my sister with the registering into her new school....then i had to go for the appointment thing..but i am not going to talk about it la...

its about this newspaper article i saw which i think is really cool...

i think all of us should know that during president Bush's surprise-cum-goodbye visit(if i am not wrong) to Iraq, the part which most people can remember is the part when the president was almost hit by a shoe thrown by a Iraqi reporter...but because of this action, a new game was formed...the game is rather easy, by using the mouse, hit the face of president Bush when it appears on your screen...

i think that although we should congratulate the game creaters for their quick thinking minds, maybe they should have a thought for the president's feelings..what would he feel when such a game is created..i guess i also should not comment too much on this news...

well, i did say that today is going to be a long day, but i didn't expect it to be so looong and tiring.. i think i am going to die any minute now..
  1. i took the mrt to outram along with my sister and my dad, which took me i think 30 minutes...and i went in the dentist's room as i usually would, but this time is with my dad..then my dad chat with the dentist and the dentist said we had to call up any school to have something done to my teeth..
  2. my dad called up some schools and i made and appointment with the dentist in Gongshan Pri(not that i want to advertise for them) at 2pm...which means i had only less than an hour to travel and eat..
  3. i went there and they said they will only polish, which means i had to go again the next day!!so frustrated..they should have told us earlier so that we could only go tomorrow and not waste my time in their room...but since i was already there, they was nothing much that i could do but to "obey" their orders..
  4. after that, we went to Tampines Mall to do some shopping but we didnt buy anything actually..
  5. went to eastpoint b4 heading home, to get some daily appliances and walked home with sore feet...

does it sound long enough for you?? if not then you should try it one day...haha lol..

i think i can produce a much longer report than yesterday's..lol

80-year-old mr Lau Keng Kow went for his routine 5am morning walk last week but ended in pain.

he was taking a breather by leaning on a metal railing in Jalan Rajah, off Balestier Road, when it gave way.he fell, along with the railing, into the 2m-deep drain.he spent 20 mins crying out for help before a passer-by came to his rescue.

however,he has not been able to eat or sleep much since the incident because of bruises on his thigh, back and stomach. after consulting a sinseh about a pain in his left elbow,he was told that there may be a hairline fracture.

the railing has been put back in place with a piece of rope securing it to the others.

i think this kind of accidents should not be even occurring as there should be consistent maintainence.also, such accidents may cause a person's life or even cause someone to become paralysed(which is worse).after such a thing happened, the authorities should conduct a check throughout the whole country for such loose railings to prevent such things from happening again.on the other hand, people have to be more cautious of things around them.co-operation from both the authorities and the public, can make Singapore a better place to live in.(:

proud papa Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his wife, Ms Ho Ching, were at the SAFTI Military Institute in Jurong to see their youngest son, Li Haoyi, become a commissioned officer of the Singapore Armed Forces.

although it is rather an expected outcome, i think it is still achieved by Mr Li Haoyi himself. the society is, i believe, very fair...thus only people who really have the ability to lead others and whom their supervisor have trust in them, can achieve such or similar achievements.

its a rather short review actually...;)

i think everyone should have heard about the landslide which happened in Malaysia..i would not say that it is stupid of them to build houses on a hill, especially one which had an accident happened in 1993, killing 14...but after that accident, the authorities should have checked through the soil to see if it is safe...

no doubt that the view on top of the mountain can be very beautiful and if given the chance, maybe i would go over and have some shots taken...but the risk should not be taken. human life is very precious and everyone knows that...but it is still not too late for the government to learn their lesson..the PM of our neighbour says that he is halting all works on hills and will only resume them after the checks on the soil are done..

it is wise of him to do so and i hope the rest of the world would also do the same if their houses are scheduled to be built on a hill...no matter how small that hill is....(even bukit merah)

ok i just ended my 4D3N camp...sounds like a holiday overseas..lol..

i was part of the organising team, but i would like to apologise to them for not really helping out much, well at least i thought i did not help out very much.throughout the whole thing i was the one and only photographer...so honoured to be "the" one (: but anyway, the third day was rather screwed up towards the end and i was so afraid that this one person would just collapse on the ground...too stressed up and tired...i mean how can someone even work properly without having his/her dinner...

the police actually came and yah, but i do not really know too much about it because i am not the kind of person who would ask..luckily this person had dinner an hour or two after the majority had theirs...at least he ate...i could just see how tired he was when he went smack on the gym mat..lol...literally went "SMACK"!!nvm, its over..

the fourth day was short and sweet..but too bad it rained...or else it would be a nice day to break camp...

oh and how can i forget!! they actually gave me credit for the photos i took throughout the camp...they were like cheering...i felt so..so...touched...hardly anyone(i mean it)give credit to the school photographers and i felt that, the more i should keep this club going even after i graduate..at least, i'll try my best...
